A New Low for the Trip

After leaving the Grand Canyon, we made a pit stop just east of Flagstaff to see the meteor (a.k.a Barringer) crater. It is a massive 4000 ft. in diameter, 570 ft. deep crater formed 50,000 years ago by a 54 yard wide nickel-iron meteorite (thanks Wikipedia!). Apparently astronauts trained there for the Apollo missions back in the day.
